In the winter things tend to slow down. I enjoy this change of pace every year and it seemed like this gentleman had settled into it as well on the chilly December morning I made this photograph. The juxtaposition of cold and warm in this frame never fails to bring me back to the slowness and contemplative nature of winter on the streets of Calgary.
