Under It All (8" x 12" Print - Edition of 5)

One of my favourite photographs from last summer, I think Under It All captures a juxtaposition of feelings most of us have experienced often these last few years: exhaustion and perseverance. The position of this passerby in the middle of the stark, angular divide of light and shadow - and his resigned gait - resonated with me as indicative of the times. Many of us are cyclically burnt out and reduced to merely going through the motions; everyday we get up and continue on. I like to think we are keeping alive the possibility of improving things. Optimistic naiveté, perhaps - but I do find it easier to pivot from a place of momentum than from a standstill.

I hope this print reminds you of the fact that you too have persevered in your own life and that this a fact is worth celebrating every so often.
